Fitspott will be attending Club Industry 2008 in Chicago

3Dwalkthroughs.com is excited about the upcoming week as we will be joining the Fitspott team in Chicago to attend the 2008 Club Industry trade show. The show brings together some of the biggest product and service providers of the entire health and fitness industry.

The Club Industry trade shows are always interesting as many companies use them as a venue to introduce new products. The show is also a very good way to get a pulse on new health and fitness trends that are coming up the pike. Every show seems to offer a subtle theme that permeates throughout the health and fitness industry for months after the show.

I have heard great things about the city of Chicago and hope to get some time to do a little exploring between meetings. In the days leading up to the show we are finalizing our meeting schedule, but are happy to squeeze in additional meetings if companies have an interest.

We will be reporting live from the show on Friday and Saturday. Tune in for what's new and exciting in the world of health and fitness.

3D Virtual Community Built To Promote the New Ford Fiesta

3Dwalkthroughs.com came across a story about a 3D virtual community which was built to promote the new Ford Fiesta. The 3D community incorporate some pretty cool 3D animation and is definitely worth checking out.

The 3D virtual city called 'This is now' created by MSN to bring the spirit of 'now' concept to life. The dynamic 3D city encourages users to interact with the site whilst travelling around it, through news, quizzes and videos. The site will also be host to exclusive content from ITV's Fashion Show as well live gigs from some of the hottest bands around and a brand new web drama Neon Candy exclusive to 'This is now'.

This innovative campaign was developed by the advertising agencies, Ogilvy, Mindshare, and Wunderman and the campaign will run until the end of the year.

3Dwalkthroughs.com found a pretty cool technology that was developed by a company called Cooliris based in Menlo Park, California. The technology called PicLens instantly transforms your browser into a full-screen, 3D experience for viewing images on the web. We believe PicLens offers a snapshot of where the 3D internet is heading.

Blog For Google 3D Warehouse Part 4 (October Pick)

As many of you know, 3Dwalkthroughs.com selects our favorite 3D model each month from Greg Rose's blog which highlights new 3D building models as they are added to Google's 3D Warehouse.

Our monthly selection is based on impressive: architecture, level of detail, level of realism etc.

For the month of October we have chosen New Nou Camp. I chose this particular model as I was intrigued by the use of colors and curves.

Description

After 50 years of wonderful memories, the Camp Nou is looking to the future with optimism. The world-famous firm of architects, Foster + Partners, is to undertake the remodelling of the stadium based on the initial concepts of Francesc Mitjans. Home of FC Barcelona this new stadium will feature a glittering facade studded with colored polycarbonate and glass panels, creating a scaly skin of sorts, serving to shade, shelter, provide natural ventilation, and make a strong visual statement. The redesign will increase the Camp Nou's capacity from 98,000 to 106,000. The construction work will begin in 2009 and is due to be completed by the start of the 2011-2012 season. Total cost of the project is 250 million euro. Model made by Stefan Larsson, larstefan@gmail.com

Stimulating an Emotional Connection To A Property

3Dwalkthroughs.com is committed to pushing the boundaries of what can be acheived with 3D Walkthroughs and Interactive 3D Floor Plan technology.

Over the past few months we have been carefully dissecting competitive products and noticed a common theme. Many companies have gotten better at showing rooms but are still missing the boat when it comes to understanding the overall goal of 3D visualization technology.

It is our belief that for a 3D presentation to be truly effective it needs to strike an emotional chord with a viewer. Simply showing a room is not enough to create this type of emotional connection with a property.

Music, transitions, lighting, camera speed, people, cinematics, post production editing etc. are just some of the tools that need to be used to make a presentation much more powerful and likely to make a potential buyer stop in their tracks.

We are getting ready to launch the beta version of our new line of products and I urge you to take notice of our focus on addressing the details mentioned above and how it differentiates us from other 3D products you have seen in the market place.
