Inventory for One Bedroom Apartments in NYC on the rise

3Dwalkthroughs.com came across a somewhat troubling article in the NY Times regarding the rising inventory of one bedroom apartments in NYC. According to the article, the root of this phenomenon is that many buyers interested in one bedroom apartments are first time buyers and are having a hard time getting a mortgage.

The availability of one bedroom apartments is a good thing for some however, as some developers are more willing to negotiate better deals. In addition, some home buyers are able to afford apartments that were previously out of their range.

It will be interesting to see how property developers adjust their marketing strategies to help them reduce these inventories. We are confident that 3D renderings and 3D floor plans will still be in high demand although the specific market they are pitched to might change slightly...only time will tell.
