3Dwalkthroughs.com in Vienna (Day 1)

3Dwalkthroughs.com has taken the show on the road and is visiting a number of cities in Eastern Europe. Our trip is taking us to Vienna, Prague, Budapest and Munich. We thought it would be a good idea to take this opportunity to post about interesting architecture we come across during our trip.

Our first stop takes us to Vienna, Austria. We just landed yesterday and we are trying to stay awake to avoid the jetlag. It has been raining/snowing non stop since we landed and is expected to stay that way for our 2 days here.

Regardless, we have had the opportunity to explore a little of downtown Vienna. The downtown area reminds us quite a bit of Picadilly Circus in London. The architecture is quite old, however the retail which resides below each structure is quite modern with a lot of the familiar franchise stores.

Above is a shot we snapped while trying to avoid the driving wind and rain. We will be heading back to the same spot today and I will gather more information about the specifics of the buildings...stay tuned.
