San Francisco based, Donnerwood Media recently launched the beta version of their new website Meez which offers advanced avatar-building technology and a huge selection of content options. The Meez website enables consumers to create highly-customized 3D avatars in minutes which can be used all over the Internet as personal identifiers.The staff at 3Dwalkthroughs.com had some good laughs testing out this new website. It was extremely easy to create a customized avatar that is suprisingly similar to our real life appearances. It was also funny comparing how we view ourselves to the avatars we have created on the Meez site. I created the avatar representing myself in about 5 minutes.
Custom Avatar creation will be a critical component in the rise of the 3D internet. If you have some time I would recommend registering on the site and creating a 3D Avatar. It is free and a lot of fun.
