Google Earth Upgrades It's 3D Capabilities

A couple days ago 3Dwalkthroughs.com posted about Microsoft's upgrade to their Virtual Earth product. Not to be outdone, Google has just released an upgraded version of Google Earth. Google Earth 4.3 includes a bunch of new features including some new integrations of other Google products.

Some of the new features include: The capability to switch on day and night views, the integration of the Google Maps Street View feature, faster rendered 3D buildings, updated navigational controls and the inclusion of time stamps of user generated content.

We are excited about these updgrades as we expect the quality of 3D models integrated into Google Earth will improve dramatically. It is just a matter of time before a viewer can move from the exterior 3D model to a fully interactive 3D Walkthrough of the interior.
