In today's edition of the blog, a developing technology is described that has unbelievable potential. The technology dubbed "The Looking Glass" by Yanko Design is the creation of Tokyo designer Mac Funamizu.

Basically the "Looking Glass" is a tablet can be pointed at anything the eye can see and then pull any information about the area available on the internet. The technology would involve the integration of a number of available technologies such as a camera/scanner, GPS and the internet.

While we can think of thousands of valuable applications for this technology, think about the future possibilites of this type of device for real estate. You could be driving along and then come across a house you find interesting, then, simply frame the house with the Looking Glass and the pull up all the information about the property including property details, Floor Plans, 3D Walkthroughs, Virtual Tours, etc. Real estate sites such as Trulia and Realtor.com will probably go crazy once this technology hits the public markets. We will let you know when we hear any updates.
