MySpace Mobile - Another Step in The Virtual Direction

In what 3Dwalkthroughs.com believes to be another step towards the convergence of social networking platforms and virtual worlds, MySpace.com has announced the launch of a free version for mobile phones.

Starting today, anyone with a Web-enabled mobile phone or PDA can access a scaled-down version of MySpace which can be used to update friend requests, post messages or just surf a mobile ready version of the site.

While users will be subject to advertisements, provided and powered by Baltimore's Millennial Media, we still believe this is an important step forward towards the coming 3D Internet.

John Smelzer, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Fox Interactive Media states "We believe that everybody who's accessing the Internet from a PC will access the Internet from a mobile device… It will become a mainstream activity."

As mobile phone technology continues to improve, allowing for fully interactive content, (i.e. The ability to access/interact with a virtual world through a mobile device)so will the speed of the convergence of social networking platforms and virtual worlds.

While we have been able to view our 3D Walkthroughs on an iPhone, we still are looking forward to the day when one of our clients can fully experience one of our Interactive 3D products directly from their mobile device.
