The CTO of Intel, Justin Rattner will be giving a keynote presentation entitled: “Research & Development: Virtual Worlds – The Rise of the 3D Internet” at the Fall Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco.
Intel, has also announced its acquisition of Havok, a provider of software and services used by game developers and virtual worlds such as Second Life.
As more large companies are taking the coming of the "3D Internet" seriously, 3DWalkthroughs.com is actively pursuing various relationships to prepare for a revolution in the way we interact with the internet. We are looking forward to Justin's keynote presentation and hearing his views on the future.
We predict that in order for companies to stay competitive in the near future, their websites will need to incorporate at least some degree of interaction in the 3rd Dimension as well as incorporating a social networking component. It is just a matter of time before a virtual sales person will meet you at the front door of a 3D Walkthrough and give you a personal tour.
