Almost a year ago 3Dwalkthroughs.com posted a story about an artist who uses the sidewalk as his canvas. With nothing more than colored chalk and his creativity, Julian Beever creates 3D sidewalk art that makes you feel like you are "seeing things".
Julian's 3D artwork is amazing because it looks unbelievably realistic when seen from the right perspective. If you look at the same piece of artwork from the wrong perspective it actually loses it's 3D effect.
The piece shown above creates the illusion that the sidewalk is broken apart to reveal the piping that feeds a fountain. We strongly suggest checking out Julian's website for some other unbelievable 3D pavement drawings.
