YouTube To Offer Live Video Feeds

3Dwalkthroughs.com came across a post on Wired.com's blog that could have a significant impact on the future of blogging as well as 3D Virtual Worlds. According to YouTube's founder, Steve Chen, YouTube will be offering Live Video Feeds by the end of the year.

While YouTube may not be the first video sharing site on the block to add live content, the sheer size of YouTube's audience, and ability to integrate into various Google Applications will allow it to hit the ground running.

It’s not hard to imagine something similar being used as a video conferencing app within Google Apps, or perhaps even adding online video-chat to gTalk.

3Dwalkthroughs.com believes that will be an opportunity for YouTube's live video feeds to deliver a new and improved method of communication to new and existing 3D Virtual Worlds. In other words, you would be able to launch live video conferences within 3D virtual world platforms as a complement to the VOIP and text chat capabilities that are currently available.

We will keep our ears to the ground for any new rumors.
